The Ravenswood Textile Collective meets on Tuesdays at the Longarm Quilting Lab in Chicago. Together, we have learned new skills and created amazing quilts over the years. Some of us work from patterns designed by others, while many design our own. A few of us come from long lines of family artists; others began quilting less than three years ago.

We come from varied backgrounds: educators, lawyers, a yoga teacher, a graphic designers, and a professional longarm quilter.

We encompass the history of creating blankets to keep folks warm to fine art that hangs on the walls of galleries. We are proud of our contributions to the complex and exceptional world of quilting. Mostly we are committed to the community we have created with each other.

Together we have a shared love of this medium because it combines head, heart and hands; and because it is a way to connect generations through fabric and design.
